We had a lovely visit from my friend Cathy today. Even though she has lived at least two hours away for the past several years, she always makes seeing me and my family a priority. The kids love playing with her. Cathy is one of those adults who is always ready to get on the level of the youngest child. There is nothing too silly for Cathy to so if it means that it will make one of my babies smile. On her last visit, she introduced Zora to hide and seek, and today she brought the book Pete's A Pizza by William Steig. So, after reading the book, we played pizza games and then later had pizza for dinner. There is just nothing that strengthens a friendship like having your friend adore your children.
