playing with the wagon

We weren't entirely sure what Zora understood about Santa Claus, but when someone asked her what Santa was bring her for Christmas, she replied, "a wagon." So, here is the wagon that Santa brought for Zora and Samuel this year. Zora likes to pull it, but this was mainly a photo op at this stage since Sam isn't sitting up all that well yet!

Both children love to be outside. Every time we go out, I wonder why we don't go out more often. Whenever a baby is fussy at our house, if we just go outside the front door, it seems to help immediately.

Sam is working hard at crawling. He is at the stage where he gets up on all fours, just barely, and rocks back and forth. He is slowly getting used to eating solid food, but he doesn't have any sign of a tooth yet. He still prefers his milk to anything else!

Zora is having an excellent day in potty training. We started two or three days ago with (being as consistent as we could) going as soon as she gets up in the morning and then every 30-45 minutes encouraging more potty time. We've been on a long, slow road now for months, buying training panties, "big girl" underwear, and playing the "Potty Time Elmo" game on Sesame Street's website. We all know that Elmo says, "when you have to go, stop what you are doing and go!" Yesterday we skipped all our training after Zora began throwing up. Today she was feeling back to normal, and she has gone entirely on her own at least twice, maybe three times! I have lost count!
She can pull off her panties, climb up on her own, and flush. I have to help with the handwashing afterwards.
Zora and Sam are so fun to see together. Sam is fascinated by Zora and her hair. He always wants to touch it. She likes singing for him or giving him a toy to play with. He likes just about everything she does! I have to admit, she is pretty entertaining.
