Thursday afternoon I was coming down the stairs carrying Zora, who was all snuggly after her nap. I must have missed the last stair, and we came down in a big mess on my right ankle. Luckily, David was home sick, so we all piled up and went to the ER. They thought it was a very slight fracture, but the next day at the orthopedic group, they pronounced it a sprain. Either way, it hurt like the dickens, and I'd hate to have a more serious fracture! Natural childbirth was nothing compared to that (plus I got a baby:).

David is taking care of all three of us now. I feel really bad for him because he has been in the middle of a huge project at work, and his team has been dropping like flies. There were several guys out with the flu, another guy out with a pregnant wife on bedrest, and then David himself has been fighting a nasty cough.
It is really things like this that make you count your blessings (over and over again)! Tonight David had to work, and my sweet friend Jeannette and her daughter Kylie came over to babysit us. Then another friend, Kim, brought us dinner (yummy). A bunch of my acquaintances from an online community here in town are bringing me meals this week, and some of them are people I have never even met. I just cannot imagine anyone having a better life than I do, even if my ankle isn't working!
