Really, it is just amazingly wonderful to have a mom around when you can't take care of things yourself. There's no guilt for me, because I have a physical reason not to be doing whatever she is doing. You know those days when you look at the mess in the kitchen and don't feel like cleaning it up, and you wish for the house elves to come and clean it overnight? With my mom here, the kitchen is actually clean in the morning. Laundry is done, dishes are put away, meals appear on the table, and yardwork is done,too! It is pretty great. But as nice as all that is, the best part of having my mom here is the little voice in the morning saying, "I want to go wake up Granny so we can play." My kids are so very happy when they have their granny around!
